I am now into my second week of using MoveGB, and because I think that EVERYONE should try it at least for the free trial, I thought I’d share it with you all.

What is MoveGB?

Essentially, they are a central “booking station” that connects you to lots of gyms and sports facilities at once, for one flat price per week. This essentially means that instead of being limited to just one gym, you could go to several different ones throughout the week and try new classes.

How much does it cost?

They have lots of different packages. Basically, the more you pay, the more gyms and classes you have access to. The package I am on costs roughly £65 a month. I personally think that’s pretty good.. it’s the same as you’d pay for most singular gyms but with the bonus of trying lots of different places.

How do you book?

It’s a really straight forward process. Some classes you have to pay a little bit extra for (like the EMS session), but these are few and far between – all depending on the package you choose. A lot of places you just turn up and say you’re a MoveGB member with no booking process involved.

Is it easy to cancel?

I admittedly haven’t actually tried to cancel yet, but they make it explicit that it’s an easy process when you sign up… time will tell!

Will I cancel?

It’s one of those things where I can see myself getting pretty bored after a while (basically once I’ve tried all the different classes that are on offer I reckon!). But for now, I don’t see any reason to stop.

Why do I love it so much?

As mentioned above (!) I actually have quite a short attention span and I get bored of the same workout routines day in day out, so this has been a PERFECT way for me to push my body and keep it guessing by not just doing the same old thing. I also love it because it’s pushing me to explore – and that goes for exploring my city and for exploring different workout avenues and possibilities. It’s certainly opened up my eyes so far. I am a sucker for routine though, so I think the thrill of this may wear off… but I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts!

In all honesty, I would wholeheartedly recommend this to any fitness lover who’s looking for a bit of variety to their usual workout routines, and for those who want to see what else is out their aside from pummelling the treadmill and lifting iron!

Give it a go! –
